Both these platforms are easy to work with, and – although they need keeping up to date to protect from hackers, they are far, far less expensive than building a site from scratch, therefore offer substantial savings to the client.
Both WordPress and Joomla have been around for years and have robust coding – we would not recommend anything else in fact, although bespoke sites can be easier to protect the extra cost is prohibitive for many.

- Solid coding
- Easy to use and change
- SEO friendly
- Clean looking
- Easy to manage
Anything else is either superfluous or ego driven. Many websites are created as vanity sites, and there is nothing wrong with that, but if the site is being built as a promotional tool, or to make money with, the requirements will not change.
